ZCC has a professional staff size of some 90 people with some 60 in Afghanistan and 30 in the USA.

ZCC has over 1200 skilled and qualified Afghan and Pakistani masons and labors. ZCC provides them with lodging, health care, transportation, uniforms, fair salaries, and other needed facilities.

Cost Control/Oversight

ZCC has developed a construction cost estimating system that is the result of years of construction and cost control experience in Afghanistan and internationally. As the design progresses the cost estimating team works with the architect to prepare detailed estimates of construction costs based on take-offs of actual material quantities, input from technical consultants and current market prices. This system provides the client with design documents that describe a project within budget. This system also allows Zurmat LLC to monitor project costs on a continuous basis such that modifications can be made during design to stay within budget.

Project Budgeting

ZURMAT LLC establishes a cost price/budget before the project begins and submits a line item cost analysis to the client prior to construction. After the clients review and approval of this budget the project can proceed.

Document Preparation

Once a project is approved, final construction documents are produced by the design team including the project manager. This continuity of staff ensures that all requirements are incorporated into the drawings and construction. Zurmat LLC, the client and the design team work jointly to insure that the final design meets the client’s expectations.

Contract Administration

ZURMAT administers and produces a monthly status report which summarizes the job progress and the project financial information.

Project Supervision
Zurmat employs a full time on site project superintendent, a project engineer, and other staff as needed. The project superintendent’s field office is staffed as necessary to ensure quality control, cost oversight, and to manage the project in order to achieve on time completion. Size of staff depends upon the scope of work
